Thanksgiving Week

Hi everyone! Wow what a great week we had in California. Break-danc'n, movie watch'n, food eat'n, good time.

It all started on Friday, November 16 we arrived at the airport way too early and had a lot of time to kill.
Finally we got on the plane and everyone switched seats about 100 times. We requested extra peanuts, more soda and went to the bathroom at least twice. Everyone around us on the plane were so happy to have us there.

We arrived in California with great excitement ready to begin a fun weak. It did not take long for the cousins to reconnect and form their own break dance group called the Skulls. Harrison, Ethan and Sydney performed daily shows, demonstrating their great dance routines.

On Sunday, after church, we traveled to a place called Pizza Johns. It's like Chuck E Cheese on steroids. Tons of games, rides and food. Papa Joe was the hero of the day for anyone who wanted a stuff animal. He stood by the machine and gave instructions on how to retrieve the item. I think after about $10 Paige came home with a nice teddy bear we could have bought at Wal-Mart for $2. The cousins had a great time riding in the bumper cars.

On Monday we traveled to Napa to see our good friends Eric and Angela. I got to go golfing and almost matched my best score in Bowling. Then, that night, the four of us went to a fancy restaurant where Bev found a hair in her Pork Chops - I think the same thing could have happen at McDonald's. You would think for $25 a plate the cooks would wear a hair net. On Tuesday we hung out back in Folsom and watch some videos, all the lame ones I picked out.

Wednesday was "Lets see a movie" day. So we all went and saw Enchanted. I am sure all the boys loved it. At least we had tons of popcorn.

Finally the big day arrived. We tried to play some football - the only ones who wanted to play were the dads and Aiden. So the whole football thing lasted 10 min. Finally time to eat the Turkey, which was not quite done, so we had ham.

Since we will not be together for Christmas, after dinner the cousins exchanged their Christmas gifts.

After the early Christmas, we had lots of laughs looking at old videos of Christmas and Thanksgivings from the past 13 years. We especially rolled as we looked at the outtakes of the video we put together for Opa's birthday two years ago.

Well its time to go back home. We had a great week, lots of food and fun. Thanks to Mimi and Papa Joe for bringing us out and thanks to Ken and Renea for letting us crash their house.

Summer and Fall events

Hi all! As we are preparing for our trip to California, I was downloading pictures from our camera to free up some room for the up-coming events. I noticed 110 pictures and all have to do with events from this summer and fall. Don't worry I am not going to give you all 110 but here are a few highlights.

Camping and fishing this summer. The only thing we caught was a sunburn.

First day of school - Connor going to kindergarten, Ethan to 1st grade and Aiden to 3rd grade. Paige goes with daddy to work. Don't they look so excited!

Ethan's 7th birthday - we went to fun center where we road in the bumper cars.

His favorite gift this year - a new skate board.

This fall we had a lot of fun carving pumpkins and throwing the goop at each other.

Which faces are crazier?

We also went to a local pumpkin walk. Each display had pumpkins decorated in different themes below is Duke of Hazard and one of Clint Eastwood

For Halloween we dressed up and went to Bev's work and got free candy. Aiden was a hunter, Connor was soldier, Paige was a cheerleader - Ethan we are not so sure - he just spiked his hair and put on some cool red make-up around his eyes. Hey it was dress up get free candy so that's what we did.

Until next time when we have more pictures from our California/ thanksgiving trip

Weadfamily update intro

As they say you get all your best ideas from someone else. I want to thank Ken for this great idea. It is our desire to stay in touch with our family, so we are joining the blog community.

Just to bring you totally up to date with our family we have been busy with activities - church, school and recreation. Sometimes Bev and I just exchange keys and a kiss as we pass each other through out the day and the week.

We just completed 1 year here in Logan and it has been crazy and gone by so fast. I have been busy with church stuff trying to stay focus on the vision and on people.

Bev has been busy at work with our focus to get out of debt- Is it wrong to hate and also love Dave Ramsey?

Aiden loves football and hunting (although he has never played on a team or hunted before) but he watches football and helps his dad make some fantasy football moves. Aiden tried out ice skating this year and wants to play hockey.

Ethan loves to skate and do cart wheels luckily (for our health insurance) not at the same time. Ethan also played T-ball this year -

Connor loves dogs and loves playing Star Wars.

Paige is the princess and she is not afraid to tell you she is the princess - never shy of wanting her picture taken or showing her new dance moves.

I will keep you posted as events occur in our life.
