Thanksgiving Week

Hi everyone! Wow what a great week we had in California. Break-danc'n, movie watch'n, food eat'n, good time.

It all started on Friday, November 16 we arrived at the airport way too early and had a lot of time to kill.
Finally we got on the plane and everyone switched seats about 100 times. We requested extra peanuts, more soda and went to the bathroom at least twice. Everyone around us on the plane were so happy to have us there.

We arrived in California with great excitement ready to begin a fun weak. It did not take long for the cousins to reconnect and form their own break dance group called the Skulls. Harrison, Ethan and Sydney performed daily shows, demonstrating their great dance routines.

On Sunday, after church, we traveled to a place called Pizza Johns. It's like Chuck E Cheese on steroids. Tons of games, rides and food. Papa Joe was the hero of the day for anyone who wanted a stuff animal. He stood by the machine and gave instructions on how to retrieve the item. I think after about $10 Paige came home with a nice teddy bear we could have bought at Wal-Mart for $2. The cousins had a great time riding in the bumper cars.

On Monday we traveled to Napa to see our good friends Eric and Angela. I got to go golfing and almost matched my best score in Bowling. Then, that night, the four of us went to a fancy restaurant where Bev found a hair in her Pork Chops - I think the same thing could have happen at McDonald's. You would think for $25 a plate the cooks would wear a hair net. On Tuesday we hung out back in Folsom and watch some videos, all the lame ones I picked out.

Wednesday was "Lets see a movie" day. So we all went and saw Enchanted. I am sure all the boys loved it. At least we had tons of popcorn.

Finally the big day arrived. We tried to play some football - the only ones who wanted to play were the dads and Aiden. So the whole football thing lasted 10 min. Finally time to eat the Turkey, which was not quite done, so we had ham.

Since we will not be together for Christmas, after dinner the cousins exchanged their Christmas gifts.

After the early Christmas, we had lots of laughs looking at old videos of Christmas and Thanksgivings from the past 13 years. We especially rolled as we looked at the outtakes of the video we put together for Opa's birthday two years ago.

Well its time to go back home. We had a great week, lots of food and fun. Thanks to Mimi and Papa Joe for bringing us out and thanks to Ken and Renea for letting us crash their house.
